How we transformed a vacant field into a thriving sporting hub.

GHG were delighted to be chosen as a subcontractor to Glascott to deliver a multipurpose sports field as part of new sports facility within the Liverpool Council precinct.

Emerald Hills is part of the housing development expansion into the southwest of Sydney. The Emerald Hills Estate required construction of a 19,000m2 sports facility, which was is now home to a very grateful local soccer club.

Working alongside Rodmar Landscapes GHG constructed 2 full sized soccer fields at Gregory Hills with an area of 21,570m2.

GHG worked closely with The Hills Shire Council in renovating and reconstruction of natural sports fields for the use by Parramatta Eels NRL Club at Memorial Park in Kellyville.

Home of Football NSW headquarters. This project included relevelling of the current surface, supply and installation of a new growing medium, installation of drainage and a fully automated irrigation system, turf supply and installation and a 12 week turf establishment period.

From bare paddocks into two premium patches of turf for the Camden Rams RLFC to run on. GHG worked alongside WEM to construct new playing fields at Kirkham Park in Elderslie in the Camden shire.

Currently maintained by GHG , Campbelltown Stadium is the home of the Wests’ Tigers RLC and the venue for a variety of first grade sporting codes. The result, a first-class surface that meets the requirements of the numerous sporting codes vying to use the facility.

Following on from the construction of a first class turf wicket at this site for our Client, Cleary Bros, GHG again deployed a team to complete two turf practice wickets for this amazing development.

GHG were a major player in the re-building of The White Oval for The King’s School. Construction began with the removal of the existing surface and soil profile, scraping and stockpiling the profile and carting of some 5,400m3 (approx.10,000 tonnes) of material.

Being trusted by this LGA for many years, GHG contract to this organisation to carry out a multitude of turf renovation works. Being a leader in this space for many years GHG are the go-to turf experts when it comes to the important task of repairing sports fields after high winter usage and getting them into play for the summer season.

Turf renovation for this Sydney School has been made easy with GHG on the scene. A yearly up keep program which includes weed and pest control, aeration, and topdressing sees this schools playing field healthy and green all year round with zero wear and tear from the high usage it gets.

Broad leaf weed control was applied to Newbridge Heights sports field as the school had a large amount of clover to spray out. GHG supplied and applied broad leaf wed control to the school grounds to kill out any clover and other weeds including bindi. Not just keeping the school grounds looking weed free but also keeping the bees away from the white clover flowers and not allowing those prickly bindi’s to go to seed.

A yearly program of Aerating, Fertilising, Weed Spraying and Top Dressing keeps this School Sports Oval with a lush, green, weed free sports surface all year round. Liverpool Wests oval was once a dusty old oval until it had the GHG treatment. It now keeps the kids active throughout every season.

Once again GHG has renovated another valuable green space in Sydney’s CBD. Located right on the fringe of Darling Harbour, Tumbalong Park is one of the area’s most iconic public spaces.

GHG were engaged by Northern Beaches Council to undertake turfscaping works at Esplanade Park and Manly Beach Foreshore during during a very busy summer holiday period.

GHG have worked closely with Wyong Race Club as a result of years of experience in track renovation services including bulk topdressing services, aeration – deep slicing and coring, scarifying and Fraise mowing and turf replacement.
