Requirements

  • Manual drivers licence
  • Chemcert or Equivalent
  • Qualification or pre-qualification is essential
  • Minimum 5 year’s experience is required in a similar industry
  • WHS Whitecard
  • Ability to meet strict quality parameters required by our clients
  • Good communication skills to liaise with clients and staff
  • Close communication with GHG Contracts Supervisor

The Right Candidate

GHG is seeking a full time qualified Greenkeeper with a minimum of 5 years experience to be part of our progressive organisation.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and take a leadership role in planning for all aspects of sports field presentation to the highest of standards.

You will have sound knowledge of the cultural practices required to maintain sports fields and have the ability to divert from your normal duties as a Greenkeeper of a small, close knit team to provide assistance in all aspects of sports turf maintenance.

Experience with appropriate skills in maintenance and preparation of sporting facilities will be well regarded.  You will work closely with the GHG Contract Supervisor in all aspects of turf maintenance.

SPORTS FIELD DRAINAGE MACHINE OPERATOR

GHG has established a solid reputation in the turf industry for more than 25 years.  We are renowned for our expertise in turf construction, renovation and ongoing maintenance.  As our drainage division continues to expand, we are currently seeking qualified individuals to join our team.

With a wide range of clients in Greater Sydney and surrounding areas, we are seeking individuals who are motivated, reliable and team-oriented.  As a successful candidate, you will possess strong communication skills and demonstrate an exceptional work ethic.

The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in the installation of our advanced drainage systems on sports fields.  As a valued member of a close-knit team, you will have the opportunity to work with state of the art laser guided subsurface drainage equipment.

Key Duties

Operation of specialist drainage equipment such as tractors, wizz wheels, excavatorsand trucks.
Onsite maintenance of machinery as per company requirements.

Travel outside of Sydney Metro is required from time to time to service projects

Essential Criteria

MR/HR license preferable
WHS White card
Willingness to work to high quality standards to achieve the desired outcomes for our customers

Desirable Criteria

Experience working with a small team
Mechanical ability highly regarded
VOC on relevant equipment (can be obtained with GHG)

PLANT OPERATORS (Turf Services Division)

• Based at Annangrove, NSW
• Work on sites across Sydney
• MR/HR licence essential

The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an established and growing team, bolster your skillset and work on exciting projects across the Sydney Basin. We will offer training in all aspects of our service delivery. Works include the operation of various plant and equipment in turf renovation and turf construction such as tractors, bobcats, tilt trays, aerators, topdressing & scarification equipment.

You will be a strong communicator who is able to take direction and undertake the necessary reporting to comply with company systems and procedures.

Essential Requirements:
• 3-5 years in a similar role
• Commitment to safety and machine maintenance
• Excellent communication skills
• Current drivers licence (MR/HR also essential)

PROJECT MANAGER – SPORTS TURF CONSTRUCTION

Full time position

Our Company:

For over 25 years, GHG has been recognised as one of the most respected names in the turf and landscape industry, specialising in turf construction, sports field drainage, renovation and maintenance. Our business is growing and we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager.

The Role:

You will be required to assist with the management our turf construction project teams and sub contractors on site, liaise with the client, tender their specific requirements and deal with claims/variations on the contracts as and when required.  You will be experienced in adhering to job budgets.

Set project-management priorities
Have the ability to read and interpret plans and budget parameters
Negotiate contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders
Produce weekly and monthly reports
Have high financial literacy to accurately create and execute cost-studies and procurement
Cultivate and enhance relations with architects, contractors, subcontractors and vendors
Lead an extensive range of activities associated with pre-design, design, pre-construction, construction and closeout
Ensure a high level of quality assurance and control, whilst strictly adhering to the project-delivery timeline
Work well under pressure
Organise and delegate tasks efficiently amongst large teams
